PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma in Tysons Corner, Vienna, Virginia.

PRP facelift has been a very important tool in skin rejuvenation for a long time in Europe. Now is becoming more popular in USA. Dr.Manrique has a vast experience in PRP facelift.

If you want to look as young as you feel, consider PRP therapy. PRP provides a natural option for restoring lost volume in your face — that’s associated with aging — by using your own blood. Dr. Liliana Manrique is pleased to provide the effective treatment at NewEra for patients in the Vienna and Tysons Corner, Virginia areas.

What is PRP therapy?

PRP therapy, or PRP Facelift, is a procedure in which your blood is drawn, processed into platelet-rich plasma and then re-injected into your skin to smoothen wrinkles and create a more youthful look. The platelets contain growth factors that are released in the area injected stimulating your tissue to create more collagen. PRP therapy is not just used to treat the skin, PRP is used in preventative aesthetics, hair restoration and more.

What happens during treatment?

Using a syringe, Dr. Manrique will draw a small amount of blood from your arm. The blood will then be spun in a centrifuge until the red blood cells separate from the plasma and platelets. She’ll then inject Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix into your trouble spots. Each treatment takes roughly 30-40 minutes.

Are there any side effects?

Because PRP is completely natural, side effects are unlikely, compared to other cosmetic procedures. Any redness or swelling around the injection sites apparent immediately after your treatment will diminish on its own.

What does PRFM treat?

The Selphyl system improves skin texture, elasticity, and tone providing a natural treatment for a range of conditions. This includes the reduction of:

  • Acne scarring
  • Aged and sun-damaged skin
  • Burn scarring
  • Collagen loss: Due to aging
  • Crow’s feet
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Smile lines
  • Stretch marks

When will I see results?

Results of PRP therapy typically appear within 4-6 weeks of treatment, then continue to improve over the coming months.

What technology is used by Dr.Manrique?

Dr.Manrique uses Selphyl technology because is a completely closed system and can convert PRP to PRFM which initiates the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin.

How is Selphyl Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) different?

The Selphyl System converts PRP into PRFM, which initiates the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin. The Fibrin Matrix serves as a 3-dimensional scaffold to maintain platelets at the injection site and protects the platelets so their release of growth factors can be sustained for a longer period of time. In other words, these products may lead to longer-lasting benefits.

How does PRFM differ from other fillers?

Unlike most fillers, PRFM does not contain any animal or synthetic components, so there is no risk of allergic reaction. It also provides a natural alternative to bacteria-based solutions such as Botox.

Dr. Manrique’s twenty years of experience and artistic qualities make the technique an expression of art, which makes her the perfect choice for you.
