Platelet-Rich Plasma injections use the regenerative and healing properties of blood platelets. These have the capability to locally free growth factors, small molecules acting as genuine messengers to activate the initiation of skin regeneration mechanisms. The plasma contains factors that are fundamental for cell survival, such as nutrients, vitamins, hormones, mineral salts and proteins. Plasma injection is a treatment recommended for patients who are looking to beautify and “rejuvenate” the skin of the face, décolleté, and hands. Indeed, it improves the texture, thickness and luminosity of the skin. Reduces wrinkles, fine lines and dark circles. Improves the appearance of acne scars and post-traumatic scars. Increases synthesis and regeneration of the skin’s elastic fibers and collagen, smooth complexion. The PRP is prepared exclusively from the patient’s own blood; it therefore has what is known as an autologous preparation, which avoids risks relating to rejection or transmission of infectious diseases. Dr. Manrique generally refers to Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (or A-PRP) injections.
Sculptra filler based on poly-lactic acid has become known since 1999. At that time, the product was used to restore facial volume of the people who had AIDS. Until 2004, the brand was called NewFill. The method for correction of facial contours with this filler was invented by Alan Zhokke. Thanks to his method, thousands of patients suffering from muscle and skin tissue deficiency were able to feel themselves beautiful and fulfilled again. At present, Sculptra filler is used in aesthetic medicine. The product is manufactured by the French company Sanofi. Sculptra filler is very popular. It is used in more than 20 countries worldwide. The filler is made synthetically, the substance does not contain components of animal origin, that is why the organism does not give a negative immune response and the correction is carried out without complications. The correction product acts in two stages:
- At first, wrinkles are filled in and there are no volume of physical presence of the gel;
- then the natural process of the developing of own collagen is started, which maintains youth and elasticity of the skin.
I inject PRP with bio-stimulants to rejuvenate the skin using Mesotherapy technique. This technique is widely known in Europe and allows me to deliver the material at the level of the skin where the treatment must be performed. Unfortunately in our country there is a miss information about the technique and Mesotherapy is wrongly related to a treatment to loss weight. Mesotherapy means much more than that !!
Keep in mind: “It is about the right technique in the right hands”
