What happens during the Profound RF treatment?
After a detailed consultation with Dr. Manrique to assess your suitability we will schedule your treatment.
The day of the treatment we will clean the skin and inject a local lidocaine anesthetic into the treatment area. Small probes will be inserted into the skin which then deliver heat energy to lift & tighten.
Is Profound RF painful and is there any downtime?
Slight discomfort will be felt during the procedure but we minimize this by injecting a local anesthetic in the treatment area. You may experience redness immediately following treatment: these will typically resolve within several hours but swelling can persist for 7-10 days.

Do I need to do any pre-treatment preparations before having profound radiofrequency?
- Avoid taking anticoagulants for 14 days before treatment, if medical condition allows.
- Moisturize the skin of the area to be treated a day before treatment.
- Discontinue any irritant topical agents for 2-3 days prior to treatment.
- Arrive for treatment with clean skin. There should be no lotion, make-up, perfume, powder, bath/shower oil present on the skin in the area treat.
