Neck Bands and Creepy Skin

Immediately beneath the skin of the neck is the platysma muscle, this muscle forms a sheet in the neck that extends from the collarbones up to the jaw line. A common sign of facial aging are vertical bands in the neck that result from separation of the platysma muscle.

Aging of the neck results in the appearance of these vertical cords. Treating the neck is one of the most difficult aspects of cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures.

What Dr. Manrique can offer to improve the neck bands and improve skin quality?

Botox has been used successfully in many patients whom are not ready or simply don’t want to have a surgical intervention.

Once Botox has relaxed the vertical bands, Dr.Manrique considers places some PDO threads in the mandibular angle to increase the suspension of the tissues helping to improve the appearance of the bands. Each patient is different and the results depend of the quality of the skin and degree of laxity.

Radio frequencyGenius RF and Profound RF are techniques known for the production of collagen. Collagen improves  skin support.

Depending on the age and skin condition Dr. Manrique will advise to you what is the best approach.
