Liliana Manrique is a board-certified physician and the founder of NewEra Medical Aesthetics and Laser Center in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

Dr.Manrique is licensed in Medicine and Surgery in US in the states of Maryland and Virginia and Licensed in Cosmetic Surgery in Colombia, South America and Spain.

Dr. Manrique specializes in minimally invasive aesthetic medicine and surgery. Best known for her European conservative and natural approach to facial rejuvenation. Dr. Manrique has over 25 years of experience practicing these techniques in Europe, Colombia, and the United States.

She  is a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and Board certified by ABIM.

Growing up in the Cali, Colombia region of South America, Dr. Liliana Manrique fell in love with art watching her mother paint in watercolor and acrylics. Her affinity for painting soon developed into an adoration of creating, sculpting, and shaping figures into carefully constructed works of art. Dr. Manrique’s understanding of artistic quality and her ability to sculpt the face and body with artistic influences are what make her treatments so unique and the results so natural.

Dr. Manrique has been at the forefront of aesthetic medicine, sought out by patients all over the Washington, DC metropolitan area for non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Men and women alike have flocked to her for her technique of treating patients to achieve a natural result. Many have become life-long patients because while she is extremely talented, she is also gentle, caring and genuinely interested in helping each and every patient achieve their aesthetic best.

From an early age, Dr. Manrique knew she wanted to be a doctor and she worked constantly to achieve her dream. Starting medical school at the University of Valle when she was only sixteen years of age, she graduated with honors in medicine and surgery. Directly after graduation, she opened her first women’s health and oncology practice in Valle. During this period, she also lent her time caring for underprivileged communities and people in Valle.

Dr. Manrique trained in France, in Modern Aesthetics with Dr. Pierre Fournier, Co-inventor of liposuction and lipo-filling techniques and President of the French National Society of Aesthetic Medicine, and with Dr. Jean Luc Morel, President of the AFME, in minimally invasive rejuvenation techniques.

She did her residency training in the United Estates at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital affiliated with Sunny Down State University where she was giving a position as a Chief Resident in the department of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Manrique is an active member of the French Association of Aesthetic Medicne, American Board of Internal Medicine, The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, The International Society for Study of Women Health and The American Medical Association.

Although it may have been predictable that Dr. Manrique would eventually marry her love and artful abilities, no doubt passed down from her mother, with a medical career, she is in a class all her own when it comes to serving her patients. “I am thankful everyday for another opportunity to help people feel better and be better”, she says.

While practicing in Colombia, Dr. Manrique served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Colombian Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. As co-founder of Clinica Los Cedros, she specialized in early detection and surgery for breast and OBGYN related cancer. Dr. Manrique completed training in cosmetic surgery in Madrid, Spain where she continues to be licensed to practice medicine and surgery. She went on to work in non-surgical rejuvenation at the prestigious French Association of Aesthetic Medicine as a fellow to two world renowned clinical leaders including Dr. Pierre Fournier, president of the association and Dr. M. Ripoll, who is recognized for his topographic approach in liposculpture.

Dr. Manrique completed her medical training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York, in affiliation with SUNY Downstate University where she served as chief resident in the Internal Medicine Department. She continues to be on the frontline of advancements in medical aesthetic by attending conferences all over the world. 

Dr. Manrique never stops searching and her curiosity leads her to learn constantly and share with her patients all the best techniques in minimally invasive rejuvenation.
