Hair Loss and Thinning in Tysons Corner, Vienna, Virginia.

Losing your hair as a man or as a woman, especially if you’re young or at a vulnerable time in your life, can badly affect your confidence. Hair loss can affect your sensuality and how you perceive yourself.

Hair loss, known medically as alopecia, is common. It’s estimated, for instance, that around 70% of women over the age of 70 experience female-pattern baldness, the most common type of hair loss, which is thought to be inherited.

Some women and men suffer from hair loss at earlier age. There are lots of different types of hair loss. It can take the form of “thinning” or involve a total loss of hair. It can be gradual or sudden; it can affect the old and the young. Hair loss can be genetic, or as a result of extreme stress, a medical condition, post pregnancy or treatment.

Hair loss or thinning of the hair is very common after menopause due to decrease in estrogen production and three months after women have given birth.

New! KeraLase Hair Stimulation: For Hair Loss

What is KeraLase™?

KeraFactor Peptide Complex (KFP™) is a hair and scalp treatment serum containing a unique and proprietary formulation. This one-of-a-kind topical serum contains five bio-identical growth factors and two skin proteins, essential for scalp and hair health. Each highly concentrated peptide is individually wrapped in a nanoliposome carrier for enhanced absorption by the skin.

Key Benefits

  • KeraLase rejuvenates & revitalizes scalp to support hair health
  • Gentle, effective, and cost-effective treatments
  • Lutronic Ultra® Laser
  •  enhances scalp microvasculature to complement KeraFactor® topical seru

How is KeraLase treatment done?

No injections are used in this treatment. Tiny ‘micro channels’ are created in the scalp through Lutronic Ultra laser, making them receptive to the KeraFactor® serum which is subsequently applied. Patients may feel a little warmth or a slight prickling during this time. However the discomfort is manageable for the majority of patients and there is minimal, if any, downtime. Once this laser portion of treatment is done, the KeraFactor® serum will be massaged into the scalp. It is an in-office treatment which takes approximately 30 minutes and with minimal discomfort. There is no bleeding nor are there any open wounds so there is no post treatment care. Six treatments one more apart are needed and then one treatment every six months to maintain.

Why KeraLase may be better than PRP?

PRP injections are commonly done for hair loss treatment, however there can be significant variability in results. It requires to draw blood which is then processed by one type or another blood processing device to extract the platelet rich plasma, followed by several injections into the scalp. Even after numbing, patients have still experienced pain, bruising or hematomas. “ I have performed PRP treatment for hair loss for over 10 years with inconsistent results and it doesn’t mean it can’t be performed”.

Patients undergo at least eight PRP therapy cycles and are expected to see the first signs of growth after just four. Initially patients would expect to see little more than “fuzz” growing in the affected areas of their scalp. PRP is also known to strengthen hair follicles.

Why KeraLase?

  • Revitalized hair & increased thickness
  • Results can vary from person to person, but clinical studies have shown about 38% increase in hair growth and
  • 64% – 113% increase in hair diameter
  • Consistent results
  • Dr. Manrique uses the latest technology, GROWTrack, to doucement the results of her treatments.

KeraLase Hair Stimulation Before and After

For centuries people have tried to combat hair loss by rubbing all manner of substances into their scalps, usually with little or no success. KERALASE therapy works on the principle that growth factors stimulate directly the hair follicles. “KeraLase”takes the hair loss treatment to a next level.
